Veterinary technicians work with veterinarians to provide professional animal healthcare. They require extensive knowledge and training in the care and handling of animals. Associate of Science in 兽医学技术
The Associate of Science in 兽医学技术 Program (AS VMTP) prepares graduates to take the 全国兽医技师考试 (VTNE). Most Associate of Science in 兽医学技术 graduates achieve above-average scores on the VTNE. Many elect to further their education by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in 兽医学技术. Graduates have joined veterinary school teaching hospitals, 主要转介中心, and several practices in the local community.

- ACT/SAT scores are recommended but not required
Please note that the application to the AS VMTP is separate from the general application submitted to Lincoln Memorial University. 学生必须完成这两份申请. All applicants should submit AS VMT application materials to the 兽医学技术 Program, 而不是大学招生办公室.
Completed AS VMT application materials are due by October 31st for admission into the program for the following spring semester.
Bachelor of Science in 兽医学技术
The Bachelor of Science in 兽医学技术 Program is offered exclusively online.
The Bachelor of Science in 兽医学技术 is open to students who have graduated with an AS or AAS degree from an AVMA accredited institution that desire to further their education in a variety of advanced and specialized courses. Lincoln Memorial University is one of only 28 AVMA CVTEA accredited programs in the United States that offers a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology.

Students interested in joining the BS VMT Degree Program must complete the following application items:

兽医健康科学 & 技术部(VHS&T) offers programs to students that wish to enter the veterinary profession upon graduation. The mission of the department is threefold;
- Provide quality education to prepare entry-level veterinary technicians in patient assessment, 评价, 客户端通信, and clinical nursing skill development to prepare for and pass the VTNE licensing exam and obtain entry-level positions as veterinary technicians.
- Provide veterinary technologists with advanced technician courses that will:
- Enhance the associate level educational foundation to foster quality clinical skill development
- Provide an advanced level of education to obtain positions in veterinary technology education, 企业管理, and industry positions that require a bachelor’s degree to apply
- Benefit those that desire to pursue a specialization as a credential technician
